I love summer but each season has its beauty and joy. This weekend delivered one of the activities that is a thrill for all five Leithausers in the Fall- leaf pile jumping! This was Sally's year to be the one insisting the time had arrived. She inspired or possibly ordered Joe to get the rake and then all three kids joined in with the raking task to create the biggest, deepest, best pile and the coolest fort. The good news is we have a few more fun weekends (and bus stop mornings) to enjoy the piles- we have a whole tree that still needs to drop its leaves on Newark-Granville Road!
A new favorite to share on Newark-Granville road is: www.clearruncottage.com It is a darling guest house just down the street toward town. Tim Hughes has refinished this charming abode. We bought the overnight opportunity at the GES/GIS PTO auction and had need for family to stay there last week. Tim kindly prepped the house for my sister and brother-in-law with very short notice. We were all impressed and pleased with the beautiful accommodations and hospitality. If you need a place in town, please consider this guesthouse as an option. We're so lucky to have amazing places like the Granville Inn, the new Welsh Hills Inn and now Clear Run Cottage- a two-bed room guesthouse. I'm shouting it from Newark-Granville Road- come visit Licking County- so many amazing things to do, see and experience!!
