Quick blog update- more to come….we're excited to be working on our spring break plans over here on Newark-Granville Road! One thing that is in the works is the overnight hike on the Appalachian Trail for Joe and the big kids. Clare is reading Bill Byson's A Walk in The Woods to help prepare.
Another piece has come together recently and I'm excited to share! The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art and Technology is a Smithsonian Affiliate. This means many good things for the Works and our members. We'd like to highlight this by offering a special tour to our members who might also be in DC over spring break! On Thursday March 27th our group of Works members and their guests will have early access with a tour of the new exhibit "American Cool" in the Portrait Gallery! History and Art will be our focus in the morning. In the afternoon our family will make sure we find some science to explore in a special way!! I'll keep you posted here, via The Works communications, facebook and twitter and of course in person conversations. Ask me about this- I'm excited!! To prepare we are now Works Family Club Members- this gives us access to some cool things including the Smithsonian Level membership so in DC we'll get 10% off food and shop items and the Smithsonian magazine will make its' way into our lives on Newark-Granville Road again- I've missed it.
Our last spring break trip to DC was very special and we're excited to have it back in the plan for 2014. If you have favorite DC restaurants, things to do please let us know! And by all means if your going to be close to DC join us on the 27th!! Life on Newark-Granville Road is all about adventure and we love to share it!
